non-stick pan and cutting board

If you need to wash your non-stick pan while it is still hot, it is best to turn the pan with its back facing upwards. Let the water run over it until it's cool, then wash it. This will prolong the life of the pan as the inner surface will not peel so quickly.

According to food safety experts, bacteria can spread throughout the kitchen and get on to cutting boards, knives, sponges and counter tops. Use plastic or other non-porous cutting boards. Cutting boards should be run through the dishwasher - or washed in hot soapy water - after use.
