sambal ikan bilis dengan terung pipit

2 cups small anchovies, fry crisp
4 small green brinjals
1 teaspoon shrimp paste (belacan)
1 tablespoon tamarind juice (asam jawa)
salt and sugar to taste

Pounded ingredients
3 fresh red chilli, seeded
2 tablespoon dried chilli paste
3 cloves garlic
1 large onion, slice

Heat oil in wok. Fry pounded ingredients until fragrant. Add water if necessary. Add shrimp paste, tamarind juice, brinjals onion, salt and sugar. Fry until it smell fragrant and sauce really thick. Add anchovies and fry for another 1 minute. Add more sugar if necessary. Serve with white rice, coconut rice or glutinuous rice.
