ingredients:
500g plain flour
1 packet dry yeast3/4 cup water
1/3 cup full cream milk powder
1 egg
1/2 cup margarine
3 tbs fine granulated sugar
1 tbs salt
1/2 tbs baking powder
(water dosage depends on flour quantity)
method:
1) mix instant yeast and flour together
2) dissolve sugar in the water3) place all ingredients in large mixing bowl and knead the dough until smooth
4) round the dough and leave it to rest for 30 minutes or until it rise up to double its original size
5) roll dough to about 1.5 cm thick, cut with a doughnut cutter and allow the dough to rest in a warm place for approximately 30 to 40 minutes
6) fry doughnut in hot oil until golden brown in colour
7) coat with sugar or glace icing before serving.
