kek warna warni

bahan-bahan
150g butter
150g castor sugar
1 tsp grated orange rind
3 eggs
150g self-raising flour, sifted
a variety of food colouring (2, 3 colours)

method
cream butter, sugar and orange rind together until light and fluffy. add the eggs one at a time, beating well in between each addition.
fold in the sifted flour, taking care not to beat the mixture at this stage. divide the cake batter into a few portions. add a drop of food colouring to each potion and leave one portion uncoloured.
lightly butter and flour a medium-sized round or square cake tin. fill it half-way up with spoonfuls of batter, alternating the colours as you go. when finished, level the top and run a butter knife through the batter, zig-zagging it diagonally across the cake.
bake in a preheated oven 175C for 40 minutes or so, until well risen and the top springs back when lightly touched with the tip finger.
